In April 2013 430 of us raised over 1,600,000yen for Oxfam Japan. The Yamathon is back again, and this time it's going to be even bigger & better!
Q. When, where and how much?
A. When: Saturday 21st June 2014
Meeting Time: 06:15
Starting time: 07:00
Meeting point: Tokyo International Forum (1min walk from Yurakucho Station)
Registration fee: 10,000yen per team (100% will be donated to Oxfam Japan)
Q. What is it?
A. The Yamathon is a physical endurance & navigational challenge where teams of three or four people WALK or RUN around the Yamanote line in under 12 hours. Starting out at Tokyo International Forum, just minutes away from Tokyo Station, and venturing through the neon lights of Shinjuku and Shibuya before arriving back at Tokyo International Forum in the evening. Race, challenge yourself, saunter around, or stop for booze breaks. It's up to you!
Q. Why should I get involved in this?
A. This is a physical challenge in which, you will start together, stick together, and finish together. This is also a fundraising event. 10,000YEN may not seem much to you. But it will mean a lot more to those who live in poverty around the world. Your donation will be given directly to Oxfam Japan: http://www.oxfam.jp/en/
